Plaza Suite is one of Broadway’s biggest hits by popular playwright, Neil Simon. This richly comic play originally starred Maureen Stapleton and George C. Scott and also spawned two other “suite” plays, California Suite and London Suite. Plaza Suite is a three-act play that details the misadventures of three very different couples as they face crucial moments in their respective lives – all in the same hotel room in the famous Plaza Hotel. In Act One, a suburban couple takes the suite while their house is being painted. It turns out to be the same suite they honeymooned in years ago – but was yesterday their anniversary, or today?? The second act features a Hollywood producer who, after three marriages, is looking for fresh fields. He calls a high school sweetheart who, over the years, has idolized him from afar, but who is now more than he bargained for! The final act finds a mother and father fighting about the best way to get their soon-to-be-married daughter out of the locked bathroom and down to the ballroom where guests await the nuptials. Plaza Suite has been a hit with audiences for over 30 years.
