Synopsis:
Andy and Norman are two earnest young men using their apartment as a publishing office for a "protest" magazine in San Francisco. Sophie, an
Olympic swimmer and all-American girl, moves into another apartment on the same
floor. Sophie makes her first appearance paying a good-neighbor visit to the
combination home and office of the two publishers. She turns their world upside
down, as love and politics blend delightfully in a bubbling series of funny
happenings, set forth with the masterly skill and inventiveness that are the hallmarks of Neil Simon.
Roles:
Andy
(20s – 30s) – Editor of “Fallout
Magazine”. Liberal minded activist who forces himself to spend time with the
landlady in order to keep from paying rent. He
is the man of action of the group with a quick wit.
Norman
(20s – 30s) – The brains behind the
magazine. He writes every aspect of the magazine. Slightly awkward but loveable.
Very easily distracted by his new
neighbor.
Sophie
(20s – 30s) – The new neighbor who
also happens to be an Olympic Swimmer. Her conservative values are at odds with
her neighbors more liberal views.
